The Catholic Community Response Team is celebrating 20 years of serving Pontiac families in crisis with a new name and new headquarters.
Now known as Christian Community Response Team (CCRT), the nonprofit celebrated its grand reopening at its new headquarters, Sept. 25, at 53 W. Huron Suite A, Pontiac. The name change reflects the growing collaboration with Christian churches and faith-based organizations.
CCRT works to help residents with housing assistance, emergency aid, and outreach to vulnerable populations. In the last year, the organization provided nearly $500,000 in direct assistance to over 2,000 residents, according to a press release.
