Pontiac schools and Oakland County are exploring another partnership involving a former elementary school building in the district.

The proposal is for Oakland County Parks and Recreation to form a partnership with the district for co-locating Parks and Recreation programs, the Sheriff’s department P.A.L. program and other public outreach services, such as job training services, into the former Frost Elementary School building.

The board voted 6-0 to proceed in moving forward to explore the partnership with Parks and Recreation. Secretary ShaQuana Davis-Smith was absent.

Jon Noyes, principal park planner for Oakland County Parks and Recreation, answered questions from the board on the proposal at their Sept. 22 meeting.
