A resident of Inverhuron is hoping that the Municipality of Kincardine will consider traffic claiming measures for Victoria Street North.

Marnie O’Neil made her presentation to council on Wednesday, sharing that many motorists need to be reminded that Victoria Street North from Bruce Road 15 to Cayley Street is not only a roadway, but also a pedestrian walkway.

She also said that since the road was recently re-done, more drivers take advantage of the smooth road surface.

“The new paving and the slight widening of the road has made for a perfect straightaway for increased speeds – there [are] no potholes left to slow people down.”
