Cronulla hooker Blayke Brailey suffered an injury scare in the minutes before the Sharks’ preliminary final clash with Melbourne on Friday night.
Brailey was running through some very pedestrian warm-ups at AAMI Stadium when he suddenly jolted over a strange pain in his left knee.
The 27-year-old hunched over in discomfort for a moment, then completed a run-through, before stopping again with his hands on the knee.
Brailey then had a noticeable limp as he made his way back to the start of the warm-up drill.
Fox Sports commentators had only just been talking about him and how important he would be to the Sharks when cameras caught the scare.
“Just watching Blayke Brailey here, you can see he just starts limping,” Braith Anasta said.
