Pakistan internationals Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan have reportedly pleaded not guilty in their hearing over the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s complaint that they made ‘provocative gestures’ during the Super Four clash in the 2025 Asia Cup. According to India Today , Farhan even name-dropped India legends, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, saying that gun-fire celebration have been used before in the sport.

According to news agency PTI , Rauf is set to be fined for ‘abusive language and aggressive gestures’ during the game against India on Sunday. Farhan, on the other hand, has pleaded not guilty to any code of conduct violation for his gunfire celebration during the same match, claiming that it was a ‘traditional way of celebrating in his ethnic Pakhtun tribe’ in Pakist
