In a shocking and bizarre case that left both the public and medical professionals shocked, 50 sharp objects were removed from a man’s stomach in Uttar Pradesh.

The 40-year-old man from Bulandshahr, who was admitted to a de-addiction centre in Ghaziabad by his family was admitted to a hospital in Ghaziabad after complaining of severe abdominal pain.

An ultrasound revealed multiple metallic and sharp objects, including 29 steel spoons, 19 toothbrushes, and 2 pens, prompting emergency surgery on September 17.

Dr. Shyam Kumar, who led the operation, said the surgical team was surprised by the number of items removed.
