The terrorism case against Kneecap member Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh (aka Mo Chara) has been thrown out due to a technical error in the way the charge was brought against him, according to BBC News .

Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring concluded that the charge against Mo Chara was “unlawful” and “null” as it was not brought within the six-month statutory time limit.

The charge against Mo Chara stemmed from a November 2024 Kneecap concert in which he allegedly flew a flag in support of Hezbollah. The group has denied ever supporting Hamas or Hezbollah, and said footage of the alleged concert in question has been “deliberately taken out of all context” and is “being exploited and weaponised, as if it were a call to action.”
