Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 19 that premiered on August 24 and currently airing on Colors TV and Jio Hotstar, has landed in legal trouble over unauthorised use of two Bollywood songs, according to a Mid Day report.
PPL India (Phonographic Performance Limited India) has issued a legal notice to the makers of the reality show and demanded Rs 2 crore from them over not giving due credit for the songs Chikni Chameli (Agneepath) and Dhat Teri Ki (Gori Tere Pyaar Mein) in episode 11 that streamed on September 11.
The makers of the show Endemon Shine India has been accused by PPL India to use the sound recordings of the said songs without getting the mandatory public performance license, according to the report.
