Hyderabad: A spell of heavy overnight rain left Koti ENT Hospital inundated, with floodwater gushing into wards and even the emergency care centre, severely disrupting services. Patients and doctors were seen wading through waterlogged corridors, struggling to continue treatment.
Hospital staff said the crisis stemmed from a collapsed nala roof near the premises that had remained unrepaired for weeks. Repeated complaints to authorities, they alleged, had gone unanswered, leaving patients vulnerable every time it rains.
