Richard "Dick" H. Hartman, 83, of Batavia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, at Rochester General Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1941, in Batavia, to the late Howard C. and Doris (Shamp) Hartman Sr.

Mr. Hartman proudly served in the National Guard. He retired as a Lieutenant in the City of Batavia Fire Department after 28 years of service and was awarded Fireman of the year in 1979. He also worked 12 years at Sylvania, 20 years for the City of Batavia Water Department and Gilmartin Funeral Home.
