Cobourg Police say a 56-year-old man arrested after threatening staff and patrons at a business has had dozens of interactions with police over the past year.
On Tuesday evening a business in the town’s northeast end contacted police regarding a male in the business threatening to kill those present.
After further investigation, police identified the suspect.
On Thursday, Daniel Annesley of Cobourg was arrested for Uttering Threats to cause death or bodily harm and Fail to Comply with Probation.
At the time of his arrest, the accused had been previously released by the courts on two separate release orders and subject to probation, all related to charges of Uttering Threats.
The accused was held for a show cause hearing and subsequently released by the court on a release order.
