NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks are rising Friday and clawing back some of their losses from earlier in the week after a report showed that inflation is behaving roughly as economists expected , even if it’s still high.

The S&P 500 rose 0.5% and was on track for its first gain in four days. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 231 points, or 0.5%, as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time, and the Nasdaq composite was 0.4% higher. They're all pulling closer to their all-time highs set at the start of the week .
