BRIDGETON — The Cohanzick Zoo recently welcomed a new resident.

Cassie, a bobcat, came to the zoo earlier this year from California, according to a post on the zoo's Facebook page . Cassie was orphaned as a baby and could no longer fend for herself, according to the post.

"Now that she’s had some time to adjust, you can see Cassie out and about exploring her new digs," the post states.

Bobcats are agile climbers and prey on small mammals such as rabbits. They are primarily active during the twilight hours.
