MCKINNEY, Texas — There is no shortage of activity in the Sherman home. Jenay and her husband have four boys, and each has their own sports schedules and commitments. Jenay says it can get exhausting. But a mother will never take for granted the moments that celebrate their accomplishments.
For her oldest, William, who has Down syndrome, attention has come in a viral way.
"He's been exceeding my expectations for 17 years," Jenay said.
A junior at McKinney High School, William is rarely seen without something Mavs-related and a basketball nearby.
"Basketball is his favorite sport. All day, every day," she added.
Though quiet at home, William came alive at a recent faculty-student basketball game, held in front of the entire student section.
"I can't count how many times I've seen it,"
