Bruce Power and its partners are once again donating to an organization that supports families impacted by childhood cancer.
The nuclear power company is announcing a $100,000 donation to the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario ( POGO ).
The oncology group was established in 1983, with the goal of creating a childhood cancer care system for children, youth, survivors, and their families and healthcare teams.
POGO also provides leadership and support for province-wide consultations.
Bruce Power is a global producer of medical isotopes cobalt-60, which is used to sterilize medical devices, and lutetium-177, which is used to treat neuroendocrine tumours, as well as prostate cancer.
