The terrorism charge against Kneecap rapper Mo Chara has been dropped due to a technical error. Per the BBC , a London court ruled on Friday that legal proceedings had been initiated before consent was obtained from relevant officials within a six-month deadline for such charges, with Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring stating that Woolwich Crown Court has no jurisdiction to try the “null” and “unlawful” case against the member of the Irish band. Mo Chara, whose real name is Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh, was charged in May over allegations that he displayed a flag in support of the militant group Hezbollah (a proscribed terrorist organization in Britain) during a November 2024 Kneecap show in London.
