With just six weeks left until Election Day, Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the race for New York City mayor, holding a decisive 20-point lead over his nearest rival, according to a new Suffolk University CityView poll. Mamdani has strong backing from Black, Hispanic, and Asian voters and also addresses key concerns such as affordability, crime, and employment. The poll also shows many voters dismiss the negative social media campaign against him.

The 33-year-old democratic socialist from Queens , who stunned political observers in June by defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo and nine other candidates in the Democratic primary, currently commands 45% support among likely voters.
