FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The 2025 Ryder Cup is underway.

The opening session is in the books at Bethpage Black, with Team Europe coming out of the gates hot and winning the first three matches, taking a 3-1 lead going into the afternoon. Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton beat Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas, 4 and 3, to set the tone. Then Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood topped Harris English and Collin Morikawa, 5 and 4, before Ludvig Aberg and Matt Fitzpatrick captured a 5-and-3 win over Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley.

It's the first time Europe has won the morning foursomes session in the United States since 2004. Now, it's time for afternoon four-ball.
