When asked, “PM Sharif, when are you going to stop cross-border terrorism?” he initially appeared hesitant, but then responded firmly, “We are defeating cross-border terrorism. We are defeating them.” However, his bold claim was quickly challenged by the reporter, who shot back, “India is defeating you.”

Sharif’s remark came across as more of a defensive assertion than a reflection of ground realities. Despite repeated denials, Pakistan continues to face international criticism for its alleged support of militant groups operating across borders.
