After months of research, writing, discussion and editing, the city of Washington appears to be closing in on a final version of its rental ordinance. The council has set a public hearing for Oct. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in theEastside Park Community Building to try and finish the Landlord Rental Dwelling Regulation Agreement.
“At our last council meeting, we had some discussion on the ordinance, and the council said they would have an additional meeting to take discussion on it,” said Washington Mayor David Rhoads. “We’ve tweaked it back and forth. We took some things out and now we are at the point where the council wants the landlords and public to look at it, review it, and give any additional feedback they have.”
