Residents across Camden will gather to step to classic line dancing tunes throughout October.
The city will host two line dancing events, one on Oct. 9 and another on Oct. 31, at Malandra Hall Community Center on 1200 S. Merrimac Road from 6 to 8 p.m.
The free event will feature light refreshments, such as popcorn and water, and there is no specific attire required, said Jon White, a community service worker with the city’s Office of Constituent Services, the event’s organizer and line dancing instructor. Residents will dance to songs like “Boots on the Ground” and “Can’t Get Enough” by Tamia.
White said the city is holding the event to give residents “a space for self-expression and authenticity, where individuals can come as they are.”
