Tulsa’s Midweek Market is making it easier for families to shop local this fall. For the first time, the downtown market is accepting SNAP benefits, allowing eligible residents to purchase fresh produce and goods from qualifying vendors. The market runs every Wednesday evening through Nov. 5 at Chapman Green.

SNAP benefits now welcome

Organizers announced that the Midweek Market is officially a SNAP-accepting market. That means Oklahomans using the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can use their benefits with certain vendors. The change is aimed at improving food access while supporting Tulsa-area growers and makers.
