ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) -- Municipalities in the Lowcountry are offering sandbags to residents and businesses to help prepare for possible impacts from two tropical systems.
Storm Team 2 is currently monitoring two areas of tropical development, Hurricane Humberto and another wave that is likely to become Imelda, which could impact the Carolinas early next week.
A cold front is also expected to move into the Lowcountry over the weekend, bringing rain unrelated to the tropics, which could lead to localized flooding.
Residents can find sandbag supplies where they live to help prevent damage associated with flooding and rising water that may occur.
