James Gunn Wrote Some Big Checks, and by God, 'Peacemaker' Is Cashing Them

Despite some strong character work and the genius addition of Tim Meadows, Peacemaker Season 2 has done an awful lot of tire spinning and kicking the can down the road. There’s been some palpable frustration with the pacing, but James Gunn and the cast have assured fans that things are about to pop off in the final three episodes that were notably held back from advance screeners. Whatever is about to go down will have serious consequences for the DCU moving forward. We’ve seen Marvel attempt to write similar checks with its Disney+ series with mid results, so I’m extremely astonished to feel comfortable saying that Peacemaker will not have that problem.
