Democrats and Republicans agree: The clocks are ticking on union contracts

The Faster Labor Contracts Act is being introduced to speed up the process of reaching a first collective bargaining agreement between newly unionized workers and their employer, by requiring contract negotiations to start within 10 days of a union election and providing for government mediation and arbitration if necessary.
