Authorities are investigating gunfire that wounded a 30-year-old man early Friday on Southside Bethlehem.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and was in critical condition, but was expected to survive, city police Capt. William Audelo said.
Officers found the victim at about 1 a.m. in the 400 block of Pierce Street after responding for the report of a shooting.
Detectives were continuing to investigate and working to identify whoever was responsible, Audelo said.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, this appears to be an isolated incident between known parties,” the police captain told lehighvalleylive.com. “At this time, there is no belief of any ongoing danger to the public.”
