Nick Faldo put his foot in it as he previewed the afternoon fourball session on day one of the Ryder Cup . ‌

It's been a sensational start from Europe as they recorded their best ever morning session result on US soil by racing in to a 3-1 lead with three thumping wins from four games at Bethpage Black. ‌

Luke Donald has mixed it up a little bit for the afternoon session, breaking up the dominant 'Fleetwood Mac' partnership of Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood, who battered Collin Morikawa and Harris English 5&4 in match number three. ‌

Fleetwood is now heading out second alongside Jon Rahm as they take on Ben Griffin and Bryson DeChambeau.

McIlroy meanwhile, partners Shane Lowry in the final match against Patrick Cantlway and Shane Lowry.
