A Cohoes man wanted in connection with a Sept. 14 homicide in Cohoes was taken into custody Friday morning in Franklin County, according to a release from New York State Police.

Troopers and sheriff’s deputies located Anthony Bechand, 53, at about 7:30 a.m. after receiving tips about a suspicious person walking along State Route 86 near Paul Smith’s College. Bechand was transported to the state police station in Ray Brook for questioning.
