Armstrong County is implementing furloughs and service reductions as the budget stalemate in Harrisburg continues.

County commissioners said impacted services include Children, Youth, and Family Services, where foster care reimbursements will be frozen starting Wednesday. Advertisement

Also on Wednesday, all senior centers will close except the Kittanning and Distant locations, resulting in eight employees being furloughed and the elimination of meal centers.
