Something remarkable is happening in the economy in terms of unleashing the forces of enterprise, change and innovation, according to Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Puri, who was the Chief Guest at the seventh edition of bl ’s “Changemaker Awards 2025”, said: “the way we have unleashed the forces today, when you are looking at numbers, I can rattle off, you know, whether it is the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, whether it is the number of airports, whether it is the amount of metro line kilometres, all those figures are there. The fact is that we have grown in the last quarter at 7.8 per cent.”

The Minister brought the house down when he said: “...it’s a different thing that another young guy described it as a dead economy, but I let that one pass.”
