DAYS AFTER a 20-year-old woman was targeted and threatened on social media with a fake Instagram profile impersonating her using morphed AI images , Pimpri Chinchwad police have arrested 25-year-old who works in the same firm as the victim.

A First Information Report in the case has been registered at a police station under the Pimpri Chinchwad police by a 20-year-old complainant who works for a private company. According to her complaint, over a week ago, she received a message on Instagram. She found out that the message was sent to her from her own fake profile.

She asked the sender to reveal the identity and asked that the fake profile be deleted. The suspect continued sending her harassing messages.
