The estate of a member of Salesianum School's Class of '54 made a record financial gift to his alma mater Friday.
James Tigani Jr. and his family built a large beverage wholesale and distribution company in The First State. The estate's gift of $20-million will go entirely toward overhauling the auditorium and theater at the all-boys' Catholic school.
Also planned are new classrooms and space for studios, digital production and performances. The renovated auditorium will be named the James V. Tigani Jr. Arts and Innovation Center as part of a broader $35-million renovation.
