In a significant move aimed at providing financial relief to state Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) employees, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA).

This enhancement raises the total dearness allowance (DA) from 53% to 55%, effective retrospectively from January 1, 2025. The decision benefits approximately 8.5 lakh state government employees and pensioners, including those working in PSUs.

The increased DA will be disbursed in cash along with the salary, ensuring that employees receive the arrears due for the past months.
