New Delhi, Sep 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana of Bihar via video conferencing and directly transferred Rs 10,000 each into the bank accounts of 75 lakh women, amounting to Rs 7500 crore.

Greeting participants on Navratri, PM Modi said, “Today marks a truly significant milestone for the women and daughters of Bihar. When a woman engages in employment or self-employment, her dreams gain new wings and her respect in society grows.”

He underlined the role of Jan Dhan accounts in making such direct transfers possible.
