Goaltender Connor Ingram, waived by Utah yesterday, cleared on Friday. He can now be assigned to the AHL. Significant to mention that he carries a $2m cap hit.
Some folks wanted Ingram in Edmonton. While that may or may not have merit on the ice, off the ice there were some barriers to overcome. We shall see if this leads anywhere further on the trade front, where a swap and retention could make more sense for someone. That is something our friend of _The Cult of Hockey_ Ira Cooper has mentioned.
No Edmonton Oilers went on waivers today. And the list of notable names that did is pretty short, to say the least. If goalie’s are really your thing, I guess there is always 6’7 Ivan Fedotov from Philadelphia (he of the .880 SV% in 26 GP). I jest.
