The chief executive of Celtic FC has demanded club representatives meet with Police Scotland over safety concerns following how fans were treated ahead of a crunch Old Firm clash last season. ‌

Fans were kettled as they headed to Celtic Park on March 16, being held under stop and search powers. Members of both sides' ultras groups - the Green Brigade and the Union Bears - were targeted on Glasgow's London Road. ‌

Images on social media showed scores of officers and police vans forming a blockade around supporters, while pictures from the stadium show a vast area empty at the North Curve safe standing section where the Green Brigade are situated . ‌
