A few showers lingered overnight in western New Mexico giving some New Mexicans a wet start to Friday. At the top of the afternoon showers and rumbles of thunder moved into counties in western New Mexico, while Albuquerque saw clouds and sunshine. Today, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely across west, central and southwest New Mexico. Friday's storm threat may lead to another day of flooding and heavy rainfall. There is a slight chance for a shower or storm in the Albuquerque area; however, tonight, these showers and storms will linger into the wet weekend ahead.
