As Aunty Cathy Trindall celebrated the news the long-awaited new home for the Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service had been granted development approval, her thoughts drifted back to two very special people and their dream.

And, the proud Gomeroi woman couldn't help but shed a few tears.

"I actually cried," the long-time Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service - Aboriginal Corporation (TAMS-AC) chairperson told the Leader .

They were tears for a dream that started more than 50 years ago in her parents' lounge room, and being able to help fulfil that.

Uncle Joe and Aunty Pearl Trindall are readily recognised as the forebears of what was to become TAMS.
