ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) - Patients and staff at Mercy Anderson Hospital were evacuated after someone reported there was a bomb at the hospital, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kyla Woods confirmed.

A bomb squad, including a K-9, were dispatched to the hospital in Anderson Township at 10:48 a.m. Friday.

After two hours, it was determined there was no bomb in the building, Woods said.

According to 911 calls, a security officer reported that the person operating the telecom line received a bomb threat for the hospital.

“She described it as a younger male trying to use a low voice calling, stating multiple times that there was a - that there was a threat. He kind of was speaking very slowly and then stated that there was a bomb ‘in your office’ and he specifically said,
