HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The city of Holyoke announced a new ten-year contract that will invest in the city’s wastewater plant. They’re calling it their ‘wastewater master plan’ and there’s a lot to break down about this new contract that impacts the residents of Holyoke.

The goal of the ‘master plan’ is to create a more efficient, clean, all while lowering costs for the city. Specifically, this contract is anticipated to save up to a million dollars in energy costs through a new annual service fee over a ten-year term.
