The man suspected of shooting five officers in York County last week had recently purchased two pairs of handcuffs and the empty boxes were inside his truck that police found parked near his ex-girlfriend’s home hours before the deadly firefight.

Those new details were contained in a request for a search warrant released by court officials Friday, which painted a better timeline of the day of the mass shooting that killed three detectives from the Northern York County Regional Police Department.

The request was written by one of the slain detectives, Mark Baker. The other detectives killed in the ambush were Cody Becker and Isaiah Emenhouser.

Their funerals were held Thursday.
