GROVETOWN, Ga. (WTVM) - Families with loved ones - including a disabled Army vet - buried at a cemetery near Augusta are speaking out, advocating for change at a place they say has fallen into disrepair.

William Messex served in the U.S. Army a dozen years. When he passed away unexpectedly in February, his family decided to honor him the best way they knew how.
The veteran’s widow Andrea Messex said, “He served his country with all his heart and was really upset when he became a disabled vet. He wanted to be buried somewhere where there was a section for military. And so we choose this cemetery because it has a lot of, it has a big military section.”
