TIFFIN, Ohio — Downtown Tiffin is celebrating a decade as a nationally accredited Main Street program.
Downtown Tiffin became accredited through Heritage Ohio in 2015 and has since invested millions of dollars into revitalization. Maintaining the accreditation meant meeting specific benchmarks, like community engagement and strategy-driven programming.
The city’s Main Street manager said the positive impacts are clear— you can see it by taking a stroll downtown.
“It takes a lot of volunteer work and committees to help bring us to that accreditation, and we’re really proud that it’s been ten years,” Main Street manager Donna Gross explained.
According to Gross, the National Main Street program follows a four-point approach: design, economic vitality, promotions and organization.
