NORTH CAROLINA (PINPOINT WEATHER) -- More spotty showers and storms moved through the region on Friday as a cold front passed to the east.
That front will linger for the start of the weekend, so we can expect more rain and thunderstorms to start the day on Saturday, becoming more hit-or-miss for the afternoon and evening.

Stay weather aware-- this could impact some Helene anniversary events around the region. We're not expecting a big risk of severe, damaging storms, but a few instances of high water can't be ruled out with the heavy rain. Sunday is trending drier, with a few spotty shower chances. Temperatures through the weekend will be in the 70s and low 80s... not as hot
