Jimmy Kimmel's in-laws in St. Louis can rejoice.

His late-night show will return to television here on Friday night after Sinclair Broadcast Group decided to bring it back to its ABC affiliate stations including St. Louis affiliate KDNL (Channel 30).

This ends a dayslong TV blackout in dozens of cities across the U.S. over remarks the comedian made in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's killing.

"Our objective throughout this process has been to ensure that programming remains accurate and engaging for the widest possible audience," Sinclair, which operates 38 ABC affiliates, said in a statement Friday afternoon.
