BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) — Eight local officers were honored Friday for completing the Bowling Green Law Enforcement Academy.

The officers marched along East Main Avenue from the Bowling Green Police Department to The Capitol for a graduation ceremony recognizing their achievement.

This year’s ninth BGLEA class includes Jamison Bartrug, Adam Fitzgerald, Trenton Goodroe, Marc Hargrave, Rio Napier, Dylan Nickel, Elijhah Smith, and Evan Webster.

The ceremony featured remarks from Major Geoff Gleitz and Police Chief Michael Delaney, among others. Mayor Todd Alcott swore in the new officers.

The academy originated in 2020 and has graduated several officers.
