Joplin, Springfield and other area communities celebrated this spring after learning they would get access to about 39 million gallons of water per day from Stockton Lake.
Roddy Rogers, executive director of Southwest Missouri Water, said the allocation will meet about 70% of the need in the region for member communities over the next several decades. ×
