A Korean restaurant in Manhattan has claimed the ultimate culinary crown.

Atomix, a critically acclaimed fine-dining spot in the NoMad neighborhood offering a $395 12-course tasting menu, was named No. 1 on the inaugural North America’s 50 Best Restaurants list , in a splashy Las Vegas ceremony earlier this week.

Twelve other New York spots also made the list — including seafood stalwart Le Bernardin, the trendy French Le Veau d’Or and Brooklyn’s The Four Horsemen. 4

“We are deeply honored to be recognized among so many inspiring restaurants,” chef-owner Junghyun ‘JP’ Park said afterward in a written statement. “This motivates us to continue pushing ourselves and to share the depth and creativity within Korean cuisine with the world.”
