San Bernardino and Clark counties are included in an updated flash flood warning released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 4:07 p.m. The warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m.
“At 4:07 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly,” according to the NWS Las Vegas NV . “Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.”
Locations impacted by the warning include Searchlight, Nipton, Nipton Road Mile Marker 3 and Nipton And Ivanpah Roads.
The NWS said, “Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.”
