WRIGHTSVILLE, Ga. (WJBF) - One person is dead and another injured after a shooting incident in Wrightsville.

The Wrightsville Police Department and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office responded to a home Friday afternoon just before 5 p.m. in reference to a shooting.

Once there, officers located two individuals with injuries. Both were transported to an area hospital.

Investigators state that one of the individuals has died.

Local investigators and the GBI are processing the scene in the area of S. Marcus Street near Pine Terrace Apartments.
